The Song of Banali
Banali's song is a prayer addressed to the Father as the Most High Being, the father of his spirit and his King — the El Elyon layer of the Godhead pattern named plainly, above the Lord to whom he elsewhere gives devotion. He affirms descent from the Father's bosom into a small world to prove worthiness, mortality as the proving ground. He calls on ancestors who have gone before for aid against wandering spirits and seeks to seal his heart and mind against the evil one, binding that power by his own sealing. He asks to be joined within the temple, raised from dust, and granted to become like the Father and inherit the reward held in store — the plan of exaltation stated whole.
1
O, Father, I offer this prayer unto thee.
2
You are the most high being of all.
3
The father of my spirit, and my King.
4
I pray that those who shall read these word shall know,
5
They shall know of your goodness and your love.
6
Only through your law can we be made alive.
7
Your perfect law and perfect plan.
8
From your bosom I descended to the world small.
9
Here I live my life to prove that I am worthy of you.
10
I call upon you to send my ancestors to strengthen me.
11
They who have gone before shall give me aid.
12
And protect me from the spirits who wander the earth.
13
I do seek to destroy the power of the evil one.
14
He shall not control me.
15
He shall be sealed if I shall seal my heart and mind from him.
16
Unto the Lord, my God, I give my devotion.
17
His almighty hand shall guide me to the light.
18
He giveth no test I cannot bear.
19
Help me to obey your voice.
20
Bring me to he that we may be joined within.
21
The temple of your holiness, your place upon this world.
22
And after I shall return to the dust, raise me up again.
23
And see fit to grant me mercy to return to your bosom,
24
That I may become like you and inherit the reward you have in store for me.
