Moroni 5
The covenant prayer over the sacramental wine names the prayer pattern explicitly: petition goes to the Eternal Father, signed in the name of the Son, Jesus Christ — Jehovah-as-Father receiving the prayer, Christ's name the covenant signature. The cup witnesses the blood shed in atonement, and the promise returned to the one who drinks in true remembrance is the gift of the Spirit — the son of the Son — to abide with them. Remembrance here is not sentiment; it is the covenantal act that keeps the witness alive and the Spirit present.

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee, in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this wine to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.
