Dialogue of the Savior
The Saviour shows the disciples the visions — the abyss, the Light, the chosen vessel — and discourses on the seed of light within every disciple.
And the Saviour took Judas, and Mary, and Matthew, that He might show them the consummation of heaven and earth.
And He laid His hand upon them; and the heavens were opened. And they beheld a great abyss, and a great Light above the abyss, and a great Spirit moving upon the face of the deep.
And the Saviour said: This is the abyss; this is the Light; this is the Spirit. Out of these three was the world made. By these three shall the world be unmade.
And Judas was troubled. And he said: Lord, the abyss is exceeding deep. The waters thereof are dark. Who shall stand upon the brink of it, and not be afraid?
And the Saviour said: He that hath the Spirit shall not fear the abyss. The Spirit shall be his light upon the dark waters. The Spirit shall be his bridge across the deep.
And Mary said: Lord, the Light is exceeding great. Who shall behold it, and not be blinded?
And the Saviour said: He that hath received the seal of the Light shall not be blinded by it. The Light shall be his sight; the Light shall be his joy. He shall behold and not be consumed.
And Matthew said: Lord, the Spirit is exceeding mighty. Who shall stand before it, and not be swept away?
And the Saviour said: He that hath been born of the Spirit shall stand. The Spirit shall not sweep him away; rather, the Spirit shall lift him up. He shall stand within the Spirit, and shall be one with it.
And the Saviour said: Behold, every disciple of mine carrieth within him a seed of light. The seed sleepeth, until the Word awakeneth it. When the Word awakeneth it, the seed putteth forth roots, and a tree groweth, and it beareth fruit unto life.
Judas said: Lord, in what manner is the seed awakened?
And the Saviour said: By the hearing of the truth. By the receiving of the seal. By the prayer of the heart. By the doing of the Father's will.
Mary said: Lord, in what manner is it watered?
And the Saviour said: By the living water of the sacraments. By the chrism of the Spirit. By the bread of life. By the wine of the kingdom.
Matthew said: Lord, in what manner doth it bear fruit?
And the Saviour said: By love. By patience. By long-suffering. By the works of light. By the words of truth. By the silence of contemplation.
And the Saviour said: He that beareth no fruit, his lamp is dark; the bridegroom shall not know him; the door shall not be opened. But he that beareth fruit shall enter, and shall sit at the marriage supper of the Lamb.
And Judas said: Lord, what is the dark lamp?
And the Saviour said: The lamp without oil is the soul without the Spirit. The lamp without flame is the soul without love. The lamp that is hidden under a bushel is the soul that hath received the truth and not declared it.
Therefore, ye disciples — let your light so shine before men, that they may behold your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
And Mary said: Lord, blessed art Thou; for Thou hast taught us all things.
And the Saviour said: Blessed art thou, Mary, that thy heart is set above all the earth. For where thy heart is, there is thy treasure also. Where thy treasure is, there is thy home. And thy home is with me; and I am with thee — even unto the consummation of the age.
And Mary bowed; and she gave thanks. And the disciples gave thanks with her.
And the Saviour said: Pray ye for them which are not yet awakened. Bear ye witness unto them. Lay hands upon them. Baptize them. Teach them. They are my sheep also; bring them into the fold.
For there shall be one fold and one Shepherd. There shall be one body and one Spirit. There shall be one Bride and one Bridegroom. And the wedding feast shall be in the day of the consummation.
