THE BOOK OF MANTI

Chapter 12
Premium narration
1
Manti urges future readers to bring these writings before the Holy Ghost for confirmation, reading them with faith in Christ and pure intent. He acknowledges that spiritual manifestations vary, but teaches that truth confirmed by the Spirit brings peace, while denial breeds confusion. He warns that denying the Father or the Son may be forgiven, but denying the Holy Ghost severs one from the New and Everlasting Covenant established between the Heavenly Parents, Christ, and the Holy Ghost the covenant that makes atonement operative.
2
Readers must not trust the wisdom of the wise, nor any man, but only that still small voice. Manti then contrasts his day with the future he has glimpsed by the Spirit. He rejoices in Nem prosperity, their spread northward and eastward to Corianton, their reception of refugees from the Land Southward, and their communal governance by consensus rather than by a single governor.
3
He notes commerce with peoples across both seas, then checks his own pride toward the Nephites.
