THE BOOK OF MANTI
Chapter 13
Premium narration
1
Closing his record, the aged steward reports that he has surrendered the seat of the High Priest to the Great Council of Mentina, which appointed his son Shimlei — long his counselor and son-in-law to descendants of Alma and Sabel of Corianton — to take his place. He pronounces a final blessing on his descendants, urging them to forsake pride, trust the Holy Ghost, and use the ways of the Nem as a chart for establishing Zion in a future age of Babylon. He prophesies that latter-day Sons of Levi, called the Peli, will erect humble tabernacles in the wilderness for living sacrifice when temples and synagogues no longer permit it.

He describes the structure in detail: uncut stones, a hearth of creation-stones, low entry requiring bowing, thirteen roof beams bound by seven circlets, a painted creation veil, mud benches, and an outdoor altar eastward. From such lodges Zion will spread until tribal labels dissolve in discipleship to Christ.
