THE BOOK OF MANTI
Chapter 3
Premium narration
1
Manti reflects on his own writing legacy, acknowledging that most of his records concern the temporal building of the Nem nation, but he wishes also to be remembered for the spiritual labor of establishing Zion. He describes a flourishing civilization stretching across the Land Northward, with cities so numerous that travelers always find refuge, all sharing goods in common with no Gadiantons remaining. This peace draws immigrants from Jerusalem and from lands across the Western Sea, who bring their own writings and beliefs.
2
Manti teaches that God raises prophets among all nations, but warns readers to confirm every doctrine by the Holy Ghost rather than by foreign wisdom. He illustrates this with the arrival of Fua-Zen, a sage whose teachings on plural marriage based on a man's means stirred contention. Inquiring on the Way, Manti receives revelation from Christ explaining when plural marriage may be commanded for raising a righteous generation, while affirming that sealing by the Holy Spirit of Promise binds only one man to one woman eternally.
3
Fua-Zen humbly accepts the correction, remains among the Nem, and eventually returns home to plant Zion among his own people.
