THE BOOK OF MANTI

Chapter 4
Premium narration
1
Manti reflects that his record cannot contain all his people's works, but is sufficient to preserve memory of the Nem's customs for his descendants. He recounts Timothy's return visit to Mentina, noting Timothy is one of the Three who tarry until Christ's return. Upon hearing of Fua Zen's conversion, Timothy prophesies that Fua Zen will plant seeds of a new religion among his eastern people, whose records latter-day readers will recognize as kindred to Nephite teachings.
2
Timothy then expounds a profound doctrine of faith and matter. All matter remembers its creation and responds to faith exercised in Christ's name; miracles are not the power of the believer but the obedience of substance to its original command. He explains translation, the law of restoration whereby actions multiply outward and return magnified, and how sacrifice—soul-suffering met with faith—produces miracles.
3
He grounds the Atonement, Hagoth's exodus, obedience, and chastity in this same cosmic law.
