THE BOOK OF SHIONI AKEK

Chapter 2
Premium narration
1
Moroni undertakes an extensive preaching circuit through the mountain regions of the Nem, reaching even to the West Sea, to reinforce the gospel against the corrupting influence of Tucantor's teachings. He organizes eleven trusted companions, several of them veterans of the Nephite war, into a body called the Traveling Council of Peli, which holds all things in common and sometimes divides into groups of three to cover more ground. Entering each city in the Lord's name, they offer sacred smoke, lead the Purification of the Ammonites, administer the sacrament, and help establish the High Place and its four great covenants.
2
Their purpose is not contention but unification, drawn by the Spirit rather than opposition to Tucantor, whose rebellion remained largely confined to Mentina. Their labor knits scattered cities into one people. Moroni, though renowned and memorialized in stone carvings, records little of his own deeds out of humility, inspiring young men to similar walking service.
