Moroni addresses the future translator of the plates directly, explaining that he has recorded what he was commanded from memory and has sealed up certain portions which the translator is forbidden to touch until God deems it wise to reveal them. He foretells that the plates will be shown to three specific witnesses through divine power, granting them sure knowledge of the record's truth. These three, joined with the work itself, will provide an established testimony—reinforced by the witness of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost—that will stand as evidence against the world in the final judgment.

Those who repent and approach the Father in the name of Jesus, however, will be welcomed into God's kingdom. Moroni closes by asserting his authority to declare these things, promising the reader that his standing will be confirmed when they meet at the bar of God.
