THE FIRST BOOK OF SHI-TUGO

Chapter 12
Premium narration
1
Shi-Tugo continues his record of Ammonite customs by describing their cycle of communal celebrations, which he commends as righteous because each one turned the people toward gratitude and worship. The Peli presided at every gathering with sacred song and prayer. Birthdays were honored with gifts, singing, and thanksgiving.
2
The new year was marked at the winter solstice, with feasting beginning the day light started to lengthen, and mountain communities additionally rejoiced at the snowmelt. Their chief festival fell in spring at the anticipated time of the Savior's birth, when families donned sacred garments, decorated dwellings, and kindled fires across the land. Between that feast and planting, a healing celebration was held, with purification and self-offering in emulation of Christ the Healer.
3
Planting, the summer solstice, stargazing nights, and harvest each brought their own rites, the Clan Mothers distributing produce so none lacked. Winter evenings were filled with hero stories, culminating in a solemn Sabbath recounting of the creation and God's dealings with humankind.
