THE FIRST BOOK OF SHI-TUGO

Chapter 7
Premium narration
1
Shi-Tugo describes the unique sacrificial practice of the Ammonites, who, bound by their fathers' oath against shedding blood, substitute a ritual of personal offering for the animal sacrifices kept by the Nephites. The Peli, healers and ordinance workers ordained after the manner of Aaron and counted among his lineage by adoption, officiate the rite. They prepare a circular pit holding heated stones representing creation, and a low domed lodge symbolizing the firmaments, entered on the knees.
2
A straight earthen path leads east to an altar, signifying the undeviating way back to the Father. Participants are purified with herbal smoke offered toward six sacred directions, each addressed to a member of the Godhead or invoking specific blessings. Inside the lodge, water poured on the stones produces intense heat, and the worshipers offer their own sweat and suffering as sacrifice.
3
The ordinance fulfills the Law while anticipating the Creator's coming atonement.
