THE SECOND BOOK OF MORONI

Chapter 10
Premium narration
1
Moroni closes the record, addressing future readers—particularly the Lamanites—more than four hundred twenty years after the sign of Christ's birth. He urges those who receive his words to recall God's mercies from Adam onward, and then to inquire of the Eternal Father in Christ's name whether the record is true, promising that a sincere petitioner with real intent will receive a witness through the Holy Ghost, by whom all truth may be known. He catalogs the gifts of the Spirit—wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, beholding angels, tongues, and interpretation—insisting these endure wherever faith remains and only vanish through unbelief.
2
Faith, hope, and charity are inseparable requirements for salvation; despair springs from iniquity. Moroni testifies that his words will speak from the dust at the judgment bar, exhorts all to come unto Christ, be perfected and sanctified through His grace and atoning blood, and bids farewell until the resurrection.
