THE SECOND BOOK OF SAMUEL (THE LAMANITE)
Chapter 15
Premium narration
1
Standing upon the city wall, Samuel continues his prophetic message by announcing specific signs marking the Messiah's advent and death. He declares that within five years Christ will come, and the night preceding His birth will be illuminated as though it were day, so that a night passes without darkness between two sunsets. A new and unprecedented star will also appear, along with other heavenly wonders sufficient to astonish observers.
2
Samuel then explains the necessity of Christ's death: it accomplishes the resurrection and redeems all humanity from the spiritual death incurred through Adam's fall, restoring them to God's presence. Those who refuse to repent, however, bring upon themselves a second spiritual death. The signs of Christ's death include three days of total darkness, prolonged thunder and lightning, earthquakes that shatter the rocks into seams, mountains and valleys exchanging places, ruined cities, and the appearance of resurrected saints.
3
Samuel closes by affirming human moral agency.
