THE SECOND BOOK OF SHI-TUGO

Chapter 2
Premium narration
1
At the close of the seventh year of his covenant, Shi-Tugo returned to his family among the Ammonites and found a stir surrounding his cousin Hemen. Her father Hementa and uncle Cumeni were renowned healers who had carried their craft from the ancestral lands; Shiblon directed the Nephite healers to study under them. Hemen surpassed both, and the People of Ammon prized her as a treasure.

Shi-Tugo loved her and lingered in her company, attempting without success to learn her art. Hementa, widowed and with no other family, pleaded that Shi-Tugo not yet ask for her hand, since she was his sole comfort. Honoring this, Shi-Tugo withdrew to Bountiful and resumed labor with Hagoth.

He later learned Hementa and Cumeni intended to lead covenant Lamanites northward, and that the Ammonites refused to release Hemen. Outraged, he was restrained by Hagoth, who pledged to petition Shiblon, and sent him commanding a ship northward.
