Moroni describes the spiritual gift possessed by Paniet-Akekt and her grandmother Panith-Akekt: the capacity to walk upon the Way and converse with ancestors, angels, just spirits, and Christ Himself. The Way is presented as a terrestrial construct, fashioned by the Creator from the matter of the original Edenic home, granting access to all kingdoms. Nem children are trained from infancy in true cosmology and in setting aside worldly distractions, since the mighty change of heart occurs upon the Way.

Moroni explains that telestial beings cannot endure divine presence without preparation, and links this teaching to the temple, to being born of water and Spirit, and to the rending of the veil. Gifts of revelation vary: some receive insight, others visions, others use Urim and Thummim or seer stones. Moroni then details his own prayer ceremony—a tower, pallet, blanket, sacred bundle, bleached kirlu hide, pipe, incense shell, sash, and shawl—and the directional offerings of the Sacred Breath.
