Isaiah 6
Isaiah is brought into the throne room and sees Jehovah, the King, the Lord of hosts — the same Being who would later veil Himself in flesh as Jesus Christ. The seraphim's threefold Holy answers in parallel intensification, each cry expanding the glory that fills the whole earth. The live coal from the altar purges his lips before the commission is given, the pattern that no man speaks for God until cleansed by fire from the altar. The sending charge hardens the people for judgment until desolation is complete, yet a tenth returns — the holy seed, the stump that remains. This is the remnant doctrine in seed form, the substance out of which Joseph's gathering is later drawn.
1
