Psalms 117
The shortest psalm in the canon calls every nation and every people to praise Jehovah — not for national achievement but because His covenant loyalty, His chesed, extends beyond the house of Israel to encompass all whom He redeems, and His emet, His truth-faithfulness, stands without expiration. The universal scope of the call anticipates the latter-day gathering: when Zion is established, the nations will have seen what Jehovah has done for His covenant people, and the praise here commanded will be the natural response of those grafted in.
