The opening sentences of Sextus establish a graded covenant anthropology: faithfulness constitutes election, election aligns a man with God, and that alignment produces the condition described as 'a god among men and the son of God' — the pattern of sonship through covenant fidelity, not by nature alone. Practical wisdom governs what follows: gifts are to be exercised according to measure received, worship is rendered through mind, works, word, and spirit together, and the body is honored as a temple without being idolized. The household ordered in truth, patience, and forgiveness becomes a little church — a covenant community in miniature. The closing doxology names God as source, Christ as the wisdom of God, and the Spirit as the giver of wisdom.
