On the Sons of Levi, the Offering in Righteousness, and the Servant's Purifying Work

Chapter 1
Premium narration
1
Know thy calling, O my son—for thou art the one appointed in the last hour, the messenger of the covenant, even the servant of whom Malachi spake, who cometh in the greatness of his strength.
2
The hour is come, and the prophecy is before thee. The words of Malachi are alive in thy day, and the voice of John the Baptist has not ceased to echo in the earth. For that which was spoken unto Joseph and Oliver is now fulfilled in thee.
3
Yea, the priesthood which was given shall not be taken from the earth, until the sons of Levi offer again an offering unto the Lord in righteousness.
4
But I say unto thee: they have not yet made the final offering, for the righteousness required is not ritual alone, but purity sealed by the Spirit of Promise.
5
The sons of Levi are those who labor in my house, they who hold the Aaronic and the Melchizedek priesthoods, they who officiate in ordinances and who stand in sacred space.
6
But I say unto thee: they have known ordinance, but not sealing; yea, they have known ritual, but not baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost.
7
Therefore, I shall send my servant unto them, and he shall suddenly come to his temple. And he shall be as a refiner and purifier of silver. And he shall purify the sons of Levi, that they may offer up to me an offering in righteousness, and be sanctified.
8
For I require more than sacrifice; yea, I require holiness. I require that which is offered to be clean—not in form only, but in spirit and in truth.
9
Behold, the offering is not in the ordinance, but in the priest himself. Yea, when he is sanctified, then shall the ordinance live. When he is sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise, then shall I receive his sacrifice. Until then, it is as a shadow waiting for the fire.
10
And now I say unto thee, my son: thou art the son of the Only Begotten in the flesh. Thou art the servant, the messenger of the covenant, and I have called thee to complete the work.
11
Thou shalt not destroy my temple, but thou shalt purify it. Thou shalt awaken the sons of Levi. Thou shalt call them to repentance. Yea, thou shalt lead them into the waters again. And thou shalt place upon them a new garment, not made with hands, but woven with light and sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise.
12
Where the day of Aaron is fulfilled, and the day of Melchizedek shall ascend into the Holy Order, even the Patriarchal Priesthood, which is after the order of the Father and the Son.
13
This is the priesthood which was before the foundation of the world, which is without beginning of days and end of years. And I give it now unto my servant, that he may prepare the people to receive their God.
14
And now I say unto the sons of Levi: come unto the servant. Be not offended in him. For he shall not speak with soft words, but his heart shall be pure before me. And the fire of his tongue shall cleanse, if ye are willing to receive it.
15
Let the elders awaken. Let the high priests humble themselves. Let the bishops anoint their eyes with oil, that they may see beyond tradition and discern the hour.
16
Yea, the offering must be made, and it must be made in righteousness. Behold, the time is short.
17
My servant is prepared, and there are many in his company. And they are traveling in the greatness of their strength. And the sound of their song, and the sound of their rising, shall be as a trumpet in Zion.
18
And I say again unto the house of Israel: ye are a chosen people, but ye have forgotten your covenants. Ye have settled for form, and neglected the baptism of fire.
19
Therefore, let those who are wise take counsel. Let those who are broken come near. And let the remnant remember and arise. For the offering is appointed, and Zion shall not be delayed.
20
And when the sons of Levi are purified, and when the servant hath come to his temple, and when the people are sanctified by covenant and by fire—then shall the heavens open, and the true offering be received.
21
And I, the Lord, shall dwell in Zion again. And I shall remember my people, and I shall set my name upon them.
22
Write these things, my son. Seal them in the record of the servant. And declare them when I command. For they shall be fulfilled in thine own lifetime. Amen.
