On the Transfiguration of the Earth

Chapter 1

On the Transfiguration of the Earth

Thus saith the Lord unto my servant: Thou hast inquired concerning the words spoken unto mine apostles upon the mount, And concerning that which is written in the revelation given unto my servant Joseph. Behold, I will now declare the fulness of that which was hidden, That thou mayest understand the transfiguration of the earth, And the order of its glory as it shall be revealed in the last days.

Yea, I say unto thee, the earth is alive, And she moveth according to the law of progression. For even as a soul is born, falleth, is redeemed, and is glorified, So too is the earth—my footstool, which I have formed by mine own word.

In the beginning she was clean and innocent, Created in purity, clothed in light, And she dwelt in my presence and rejoiced. But because of the fall of man, The earth also fell— And she became subject to death, decay, violence, and the curse.

And she entered into a telestial estate, Groaning under the weight of sin and the blood of the innocent. And now, in the days of wickedness, The earth is weary and corrupted, And she waiteth for the redemption of her children, That she also might be redeemed.

For I the Lord say unto thee: the transfiguration of the earth shall come in three degrees, Even as the degrees of glory are given unto men. First: the earth is in a telestial state, Fallen, unclean, and veiled from the fullness of my presence.

This is the condition of mortality, Wherein blood is the life of the flesh, And the children of men walk in darkness and in the shadow of death. Second: the day soon cometh when I shall appear, And the earth shall be renewed and receive her terrestrial glory.

In that day, the curse shall be lifted, The cities of Zion shall be established, And my law shall go forth among the nations. The lion shall lie down with the lamb, The earth shall yield her strength, And none shall hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain.

The adversary shall be bound, And peace shall reign for a thousand years. Yea, this is the Millennium, the reign of the Son of Man among his Saints. And they who are translated and sanctified shall inherit it.

Third: when the thousand years are ended, And Satan is loosed for a little season, Then shall the final judgment come. And I shall cleanse the earth with fire, And she shall be celestialized, And crowned with glory and light.

Her elements shall melt with fervent heat, And she shall become a sea of glass, A Urim and Thummim unto the sanctified. And then shall the earth dwell in the presence of the Father and the Son forever.

And she shall go no more out. For she shall be quickened and exalted, And her name shall be written with the names of the sanctified. And thus is the mystery revealed: The earth shall follow the same path as my sons and daughters.

She shall be born, tried, sanctified, and glorified. Even as the Son of Man was transfigured before Peter, and James, and John, So shall the earth be transfigured in the presence of the faithful. And the sign of her transfiguration shall come with lightnings and thunders, With earthquakes, with fire, and with glory.

The stars shall fall, the heavens shall roll together, And the veil shall be rent. For the day cometh that burneth as an oven, And all the proud and they that do wickedly shall be as stubble.

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise, With healing in his wings. Therefore, sanctify thyself, my son, For as thou art sanctified, so too shall the earth be sanctified through thee.

For my sons are the salt of the earth, And my daughters are its glory. Be patient, and murmur not. For the time is near, and the signs are upon thee.

The transfiguration of the earth shall be as the rising of a new day, And the faithful shall behold her beauty. Seek therefore to be transfigured in thine own flesh, That thy body and spirit may be filled with light.

For they who are quickened by the Spirit shall inherit her in glory. And I will dwell with them, and they with me, And the earth shall rest under the shadow of my wings.
