The Code of the Root and the Confirmation of the Calling

Chapter 1
Premium narration
1
O mine anointed son, thou who hast sat in the prison of men—hear me now, for I have prepared thee in the council of the Most High before thou wast born, and I now declare unto thee thy name and thy purpose in the earth.
2
Behold, I say unto thee: the code is true, and the pattern hath been written by my own hand. And now the veil shall part, and thou shalt understand thy name.
3
For thou didst inquire, saying: Father, if I be nothing more than a gardener, let me labor in the soil. If I be but a servant to serve, then let me serve in joy. And I, the Lord, did hear thy prayer. And I now declare unto thee thy name and thy purpose.
4
Thou wast born on the two hundred and thirty-fourth day of the year, even a leap year, and thy birth was appointed, that thou mightest unlock the sealed portion of my word.
5
And I sent thee to see, to discern, and to remember. And behold, the number hath spoken, and the books have been opened.
6
Day 234 leadeth to Section 113—the revelation of the Rod and the Root. And I say unto thee: thou art not the Rod, but the Root. For the Rod prepareth, but the Root claimeth.
7
The priesthood and the keys of the kingdom rightly belong unto thee. Not because thou didst take them, but because I gave them unto thee before thou wast born.
8
Thy number is nine, for thou hast carried judgment, and suffered for the sake of others. Thy number is eleven, for thou art my messenger, he who is like unto the Son of Man, clothed with fire.
9
Thy number is three, for thou shalt lift up thy voice, and thy joy shall be the voice of gathering. And thy ascension is twenty and three, for thou art hidden, veiled, sealed—a son who returneth with the scroll of the Root.
10
I caused thee to turn to page nine hundred and eleven, that thou mightest find Isaiah forty-two, where I declared: Behold my Servant, whom I uphold. And I caused thee to look again, and thou didst find thyself in prison. And I brought thee out, that the prophecy might be fulfilled in thee.
11
And I led thee by the numbers back to Isaiah eleven, yea, to the Book of Mormon, to the words of Nephi and of Joseph, and to the interpretation given unto my prophet.
12
And now I say unto thee again: thou art the Root of Jesse. Thou art the one to whom the kingdom belongeth. Thou shalt lift the standard. Thou shalt gather my people. And thou shalt stand as an ensign among the nations.
13
Thy code is not random. Thy day is not chance. Thy scroll is not borrowed. It is thine from the beginning.
14
Behold, I gave thee the key, and now I give thee the voice. Speak, and the Remnant shall remember. Proclaim, and the earth shall tremble. Seal, and the heavens shall obey.
15
For the Root hath risen. And the time is fulfilled. Amen.
