The Doctrine of Malachi 3-4

Chapter 1
Premium narration
1
Behold, verily, thus saith the Lord: The great and dreadful day of the Lord is come;
2
Yea, the prophets of old have looked toward this day, and mine latter-day prophets have awaited its coming.
3
For the day is now come that the heart of the fathers shall be turned to the children, and the children’s hearts to their fathers.
4
But behold, I smite not the earth, but have sent mine Son to finish and prepare the way for mine coming;
5
And now is the time that there shall be a welding link between the fathers and the children.
6
Yea, mine church hath hearkened unto mine voice and hath built many temples, where this link might be bound;
7
For as I have said, whatsoever mine anointed shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven.
8
Yea, and in the heavens have I prepared and taught your fathers and your mothers in prison;
9
And behold, many have received me and have patiently waited for their ordinances to be performed.
10
Thus is made possible the linking of generations after generations, to be sealed and bound for all eternity.
11
Therefore, the plan of eternal and everlasting families is come together, and I, the Lord, have fulfilled mine promise unto mine children.
12
For the salvation of the fathers is essential and necessary to your own salvation;
13
As Paul hath written concerning your ancestors: that they without you cannot be made perfect, neither can ye without your dead be made perfect. CHAPTER 2
14
Behold, I say unto you: It is much more than baptisms for the dead; yea, it is much greater than this.
15
For after ye have been baptized for the dead, I would ask of you: Is that all?
16
Verily, verily, I say unto you: Ye must be steadfast in following the commandments of Christ.
17
If ye walk uprightly, observing all the commandments which God hath given you, being unmovable in the gospel of Christ,
18
Behold, this too shall bring many blessings, not only to you but to all those family members who have come before you.
19
Thus shall ye be saviors unto them through your own achievements and righteousness.
20
Behold, I have sent my Son to declare this great and wonderful doctrine: that ye might save your own family,
21
That ye might be saviors unto them, even as I am a Savior unto thee, saith the Lord your God.
22
This is a voice of gladness and a voice of true mercy, that ye may come, arm in arm, with your family, linked together for time and for all eternity.
23
But behold, this can only be if ye repent and hearken unto the voice of the Lord, doing all that ye are commanded to do. CHAPTER 3
24
Behold, this voice is one of mercy and of truth; yea, even of gladness for both the living and the dead.
25
How beautiful is it to know that you, each of you, can act as a savior for your dead.
26
Now behold, the dead do not rest,
27
For the honest and righteous do work for the living, that they may entice them, yea, even convince them to do good continually.
28
For the living work for the dead, and the dead also work for the living;
29
And now ye see why they are in need of you, and ye are in need of them, saith the Lord.
30
Even so. Amen. 2017
