Testament of Judah 22
Judah prophesies of a time of internal division and unending war within Israel, until the appearing of the God of righteousness — Jehovah himself — brings rest to both Jacob and the Gentiles. The oath sworn to Judah that his kingdom would never fail anchors the prediction: the lineage of covenant rule persists through every season of collapse, reserved for the appointed day when the gathering of Israel and the nations resolves in peace under the only sovereign whose throne is eternal.
1
And the Lord shall bring upon them divisions one against another, and there shall be continual wars in Israel; and among men of other race shall my kingdom be brought to an end, until the salvation of Israel shall come, until the appearing of the God of righteousness, that Jacob and all the Gentiles may rest in peace. And he shall guard the might of my kingdom for ever: for the Lord sware to me with an oath that the kingdom should never fail from me, and from my seed for all days, even for ever.
