Testament of Simeon 9
The sons of Simeon keep the law of mourning for their father and remain in Egypt through the appointed time of the exodus, which comes by the hand of Moses. The chapter closes Simeon's testament with the household settled in Egypt — positioned within the Joseph-of-Egypt pattern at its fourth movement, the gathered family dwelling in a foreign land, awaiting the season when Jehovah raises up a deliverer and the covenant people are led out to their inheritance.
1
And the sons of Simeon bewailed their father according to the law of mourning, and they were in Egypt until the day of their departure from Egypt by the hand of Moses.
