Thought of Norea

A short hymn — Norea, daughter of Eve and sister of Seth, cries unto the Father; the four Luminaries answer; her name is written in the book of life.

1Father of the All — Mind of the silence — Thought of the Father — Adamas, the Light that came forth from the silence — hearken thou unto the cry of Norea.

2Holy art Thou, holy art Thou, holy art Thou, O Father of every aeon. Holy art Thou, holy art Thou, holy art Thou, O Mother of every aeon. Holy art Thou, holy art Thou, holy art Thou, O Self-Begotten Son, head of every aeon.

3Norea, the daughter of Eve, the sister of Seth — she crieth out unto Thee. She that is of the seed of the Father — she that hath been preserved from the rulers — she that hath kept the holy ordinance — she lifteth up her voice.

4Hear, O Father. Hear, O Mother. Hear, O Son. The waters of the chaos rise up against me; the powers of darkness compass me about; the rulers seek to lay hold upon me. Deliver me, O thou Holy One.

5And the four Luminaries — Harmozel, Oroiael, Daveithai, and Eleleth — answered her, saying: Norea, fear not. Thou art of the Father; the rulers shall not lay hand upon thee. We shall be a wall about thee. We shall be a fortress about thee. We shall be the chariots of fire about thee. None shall harm thee.

6And Norea is a name written in the heavens. Her name is engraved upon the heart of the Father. Her name is sung among the saints. Her name standeth fast through the generations.

7She is the Voice of the holy seed. She is the Cry of the unshakable race. She is the Witness of the Mother in the cosmos. Whosoever hath heard her, hath heard the Mother. Whosoever heareth the Mother, the same shall be saved.

8Glory be unto the Father. Glory be unto the Mother. Glory be unto the Son. Glory be unto Norea, the daughter of Eve, the sister of Seth, the seed of the unshakable race. Forever and ever. Amen.
