Chapter 1
The blessing upon the faithful — them that fear God, do His will, keep His commandments, hold fast unto His holy covenant, and walk perfectly in all the ways of His truth.
1Words of blessing pertaining unto the Master — that he may bless them that fear God, that do His will, that keep His commandments, that hold fast unto His holy covenant, and that walk perfectly in all the ways of His truth, whom He hath chosen for an everlasting covenant which shall stand for ever.
2May the Lord bless thee from His holy abode. May He set thee as a glorious ornament in the midst of the holy ones. May He renew the covenant of the everlasting priesthood for thee. May He grace thee with a place in the holy abode.
3May He judge with truth all thy doings; and may all thy waters be of a fountain of righteousness. May He grant thee the inheritance of the everlasting blessings; and the crown of the everlasting.
4May the Lord lift up His countenance unto thee for an everlasting peace. May He set thy life in the bundle of life with the holy ones; that thou mayest be at peace. May He bless thee with every good thing. May He preserve thee from every evil thing. May He enlighten thy heart with the insight of life; may He grace thee with everlasting knowledge.
5May He lift up the countenance of His mercy unto thee for an everlasting peace. May He bless thee from out of His holy abode, that thou mayest stand fast in the holy congregation, and that thou mayest take thy place with the holy ones for ever, and a peace eternal in all the ages of life.
Chapter 2
The blessing upon the sons of Zadok the priests — that they may stand in the eternal sanctuary and serve at the altar of the kingdom in the midst of the holy ones.
1Words of blessing pertaining unto the Master — that he may bless the sons of Zadok the priests, whom God hath chosen to confirm His covenant for ever, and to test all His judgments in the midst of His people, and to teach them according unto His command. They have established His covenant in truth, and have watched over all His precepts in righteousness, and have walked according unto His good pleasure.
2May the Lord bless you from His holy abode. May He set you as a glorious ornament in the midst of the holy ones. May He renew for you the covenant of the everlasting priesthood. May He grant you your place in the holy abode. May He judge by you all the princes; and at the going forth of your lips, all the noble peoples.
3May He give you in your inheritance the firstfruits of all the goodly things. May He bless by your hand the counsel of all flesh. May the Lord be unto you the everlasting reward, and a crown of glory in the holy of holies.
4For God hath set you apart as a holy of holies for ever, and unto eternity. And in the midst of all the holy ones shall He glorify you. May He renew for you the covenant of the everlasting priesthood, that ye may serve in His sanctuary.
5May ye be as the angel of the presence in the holy abode for the glory of the God of hosts. Ye shall be round about, serving in the temple of the kingdom; ye shall cast the lot among the angels of the presence, and shall stand in the council of the Community for ever and ever.
Chapter 3
The blessing upon the Prince of the Congregation — the messianic king who shall arise to renew the covenant of the kingdom and to smite the wicked with the rod of his mouth.
1Words of blessing pertaining unto the Master — that he may bless the Prince of the Congregation, with whom is the covenant of the Community, that he may renew the covenant of the kingdom of His people for ever, and that he may judge in righteousness the poor, and reprove with equity the meek of the earth, and walk before Him in perfection in all the ways of His commandment.
2May the Lord raise thee up to an everlasting height; even as a strong tower upon a high wall. May He smite the peoples with the strength of His mouth. With the breath of His lips may He slay the wicked. May He give thee a counsel of strength and an everlasting spirit. May He gird thee with knowledge and faith and truth. May He give upon thy head a diadem in the holy of holies.
3May He glorify thee with raiment of holiness. May He make horns of iron unto thee, and hooves of bronze. May thy feet trample upon them that hate thee, even upon all the peoples. May thy land flow with all manner of fatness. May the heavens give their dew, and the earth her fruit.
4May He establish the covenant of the kingdom for ever. May the saints round about thee bless thee. May the kings of the earth make supplication unto thee; and may the great nations bow down unto thy feet.
5May He make thee one that hath authority over the nations; that thou mayest break the wicked from off the earth, with the rod of thy mouth, and the breath of thy lips. May the Spirit of counsel and of everlasting power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of God, rest upon thee.
6May righteousness be the girdle of thy loins; and faithfulness the girdle of thy waist. May He set thy horns of iron, and thy hooves of bronze. May the heavens be opened unto thee, and the eternal rivers run unto thee. May thy days be without end; and may thy throne stand fast for ever and ever.
7Glory be unto the Lord of hosts, who hath raised up the Prince. Glory be unto the High Priest, who blesseth the people. Glory be unto the holy congregation, that standeth fast in the covenant. Forever and ever. Amen.
