Songs of the Sabbath Sacrifice

3 chapters · continuous

Chapter 1

The first Sabbath song — the call to praise; the assembly of the angels; the priests of the inner sanctuary that minister before the throne of glory.

1For the Master, the song of the burnt offering of the first sabbath — on the fourth day of the first month. Praise the God of the godlike beings, ye them which are exalted among all the gods of knowledge. Sanctify His name in His glory; for He is God of all the elohim of true knowledge, and Lord of all the spirits of understanding.

2He hath established a holy of holies among the everlasting holy ones; that they might be unto Him priests of the inner sanctuary, even priests of the inner shrine. They are the ministers of the presence in the holy of holies, even of the everlasting King.

3He hath taught their tongues knowledge; that they may bless the wonderful Lord of His holy ones, and may declare His glory in their tongues of knowledge. Their council is for them an eternal blessing; for them is everlasting praise.

4He hath laid the firm foundation of His everlasting building. He hath set out the chief priests of the inner sanctum, that they might serve in the everlasting tabernacle, even continually before Him.

5Of all the eternal princes are they; their place is in the holy of holies. They are the chiefs of the kingdoms of the holy ones, even the chiefs of the priestly kingdoms — even of the seven priesthoods of the inner sanctuary, of the seven chief princes.

Chapter 2

The seventh Sabbath song — the chorus of the seven heavens, the praise of the seven priesthoods, and the great hymn of the angels of the presence.

1For the Master, the song of the burnt offering of the seventh sabbath — on the sixteenth day of the second month. Praise the most high God, ye them which exalt the great God among the eternal holy ones. Praise Him, ye glorious chariots; ye them that are above the firmament of the cherubim. Praise the God of the gods, ye that dwell in the holy of holies.

2Sing for joy unto Him, ye spirits of the holy of holies; ye seven priesthoods of the holy place — chiefs of the wondrous priesthood of the seven councils. Sing for joy in the inner sanctuary; for there are the chief princes of the priesthoods that minister before the King of holiness.

3There is the deep silence of the gods of knowledge in the seven holy chambers — even the silence of blessing for them all. The voice of the praises of His glory shall be from the midst of the gods. Tongues of knowledge shall bless the everlasting King, even the deeds of His great wonders.

4All the wonderful praises shall be from the seven priesthoods. Each one of them shall bless the King of glory; and each one shall sanctify the holy name. From every one of the seven priesthoods shall be heard the voice of the everlasting praise.

5Let the chiefs of praise of every spirit of god praise the wonders of His glory. Praise the God of every order of light, and of every spirit of understanding. Praise the King of glory, who hath sanctified all His chosen ones in glory.

Chapter 3

The twelfth Sabbath song — the vision of the merkabah; the cherubim and the wheels; the praise of the chariot of God.

1For the Master, the song of the burnt offering of the twelfth sabbath. Praise the God of the wonderful glory; sanctify His holiness. The cherubim fall down before Him; they bless. As they raise themselves, the still voice of the gods is heard, and a great noise of jubilation; as they raise their wings, the still voice of the gods is heard.

2The structure of the chariots they bless above the firmament of the cherubim; and they sing the brightness of the firmament of light from beneath the seat of His glory. As they go forth, the wheels return; the spirits of the holy of holies bless before them. The image of the chariot-throne — they bless it above the firmament of the cherubim.

3The brightness of the firmament of light they sing for joy; from beneath the seat of His glory. And as the wheels go forth, the holy angels return. They came forth from between the wheels of His glory like the appearance of fire, even of spirits of the holy of holies. Round about there is the appearance of streams of fire, like the bright work of glistening gold.

4There are wonderful spirits, even multicoloured ornament — even glorious garments mingled together, even carefully wrought spirits of marvellously coloured pure salt; spirits of living gods that walk perpetually with the glory of the wonderful chariots.

5There is a still voice of blessing in the noise of their movement. They praise the holy place when they return; as they raise themselves, they raise their wonderfully ; as they settle, they stand still. The voice of jubilation falleth silent; and there is a still blessing of the gods in all the camps of God.

6And there is the voice of praises proceeding from each of their divisions, in their stations; and each in his ranks at his appointed times — and the chief princes shall bless the God of all the gods, with the seventh chief prince. He shall bless with seven words of His wonderful holiness, all those of the everlasting holy ones.
