Psalms 133
A brief Song of Ascents names the covenant condition that draws the commanded blessing: brethren dwelling in unity. The ointment flowing from Aaron's head to the hem of his garment images the Holy Order's consecration spreading downward through every rank — oil poured once upon the high priest saturates the whole body of priesthood. Dew descending on Hermon and on Zion's mountains images the same life-giving flow from a higher elevation to a lower. It is where this unity holds — in the Holy Order, among covenant brethren gathered to Zion — that Jehovah commands life evermore, not merely bestows it as gift but decrees it as binding law.
1
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2
It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3
As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
